Ali Khademhosseini is the Levi Knight Chair and Professor in the Department of Bioengineering, the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and the Department of Radiological Sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles where he directs the Center for Minimally Invasive Therapeutics (C-MIT). His research is based on developing micro- and nanoscale technologies to control cellular behavior, with particular emphasis in microfabrication of biomaterials, 3D bioprinting for tissue regeneration, and microfluidics for constructing organs-on-a-chip systems
