3D bioprinting of a human iPSC-derived blood brain barrier model
Research Scientist, Human Health Therapeutics, National Research Council Canada
I am currently a Research Scientist and Project Lead in the Therapeutics Beyond Brain Barriers Program of the Human Health Therapeutics Portfolio at the National Research Council of Canada. My research expertise is in the field of biopharmaceutical sciences and human stem cell biology focusing on defining in vitro differentiation protocols of stem cells towards key lineages of clinical importance. I am currently involved in developing in vitro stem cell based Transwell as well as Organ-on-Chip blood brain barrier (BBB) model platforms, specifically from human induced pluripotent stem cells, to aid in de-risking central nervous system preclinical drug discovery and development processes.
