Dr. Ault leads Bioprinting and API Printing for the J&J Supply Chain. In this role he guides and manages the development and execution of technology roadmaps and pilots, ensuring mature technologies are transferred to appropriate R&D and SC organizations.
In previous roles he was part of the Compound Product and ORC teams supporting combination products across all 3 J&J sectors. In this capacity he provided leadership and technical support across a broad range of technologies, to a wide variety of projects in development and commercial production.
At J&J he has formed and lead the NPI and Drug Product TLI functions for product introduction into the Janssen SC. He has been a CMC Lead in J&J PR&D for a number of projects in late development including a project that was part of the FDA pilot for rolling submissions. His early career was as a drug product formulation scientist and group leader at DuPont Merck, Bausch and Lomb, and Novartis.
He holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Kansas, M.B.A. from Drexel University, and a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Florida. He also holds patents in formulation, process, and device design and has numerous publications.
