Dr. Ola Hermanson attended School of Medicine at Lund University 1987-90, and PhD studies in systems neurobiology at Linköping University 1991-97. He pursued his postdoctoral training at University of California, San Diego 1997- 2002 before getting recruited to Karolinska Institutet (KI) 2003. He has published over 80 articles, including recent original research publications in Nature, Nature Neuroscience, PNAS, Biomaterials etc. Among many commissions of trust, he was the scientific director of the KI node in Hong Kong during its establishment 2015-2017, and is the scientific advisor for a postdoctoral fellowship based on a donation by the hockey legend Mats Sundin.
